Charlie Puth Takes Me To A Whole New Different Level

Personally, I find Charlie Puth to be so cute. He is into RnB, pop and at times, pop rock, but his face, it screams cuteness! I mean, he is so baby-faced. His voice though takes me to a whole new, different level. The first time I heard of this “boy” was when he performed a very moving song titled “See You Again.” This song was a tribute to Paul Walker who died prematurely due to a car crash which is ironic. Paul Walker had his fame thanks to the Fast and Furious franchise which involved racing and cars – unfortunately, he died the same fate as his arch enemies in the movie.

The Song “See You Again”

Going back to Charlie Puth, his song “See You Again” was produced by him and lyrics were very touching to the point that people cry every time it is played. Could it be that the song was that good or was it because the song was associated with Paul Walker? Either way, it remained number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks (non-consecutive), and Charlie Puth became a rising star.

It’s been a long day without you, my friend

And I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again

We’ve come a long way from where we began

Oh, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again

When I see you again

                                —See You Again, Charlie Puth

What It Means, For Me

For me, this verse from the song “See You Again” is hopeful and positive. It speaks about a friend who is gone, but his memorial lingers on. The friend left behind is optimistic that someday they will be together and will be able to talk about how they bonded in the past, but not yet at this time. In the future, the eventual meeting will happen.

I’ve been very emotional in hearing this for the first time and tears formed in my eyes. This song made me remember my grandpa who passed on a few years ago, not by accident but due to illness. I miss him terribly and always look for signs that he is “with” me at times. These “signs” include my dreams and a huge, brown moth trying to get inside my house. I mean, what else can you do? If you lose a loved one, all you can do is cherish his or her memory and remember the good times. You can only say that one day, I’ll tell you about my life without you when I see you again.

I want to thank Charlie Puth and his associates for envisioning this song. It is very contemporary and yet, tasteful. Wiz Khalifa did a fantastic rap rendition, and I am not even a rap music enthusiast. I just felt that with their collaboration, everything went into place and it employed something within me that made a significant effect.

Losing a loved one is not easy, and at times, those survived develop mental health issues that are hard to shake. Depression and anxiety are just some of these problems. Listening to Charlie Puth with this song brings hope and a good-kind-of-cry.
